Going Brazilian?
September 24th 2006 09:56
A little while ago it seemed everyone was going Brazilian, the magazines were selling this new trend as a sexual enhancer, the only way to true cleanliness and a summer-must-have. Through winter I assume most ladies grew their "hair", because next everyone was talking about personalised pubes, whereby waxing "his" initials into your muff was a sign of true affection…of course nothing says I love you better than when your long term girlfriend has a pubic region that has a moon skin J.H. tugged out of it …or is it a U.H. with a few fly aways…no matter what, when your B.K. the mood can easily be ruined. However, as we approach summer once again, the consensus seems to be neatly trimmed and tidy works best….who needs to know this? One, waxing hurts! Two, if women have to do it, then so should men! I know that some men do…but it’s a small some compared to the women out there. And yes, I said women have to do it…it is a Western social requirement for ladies. If you were to walk on to a beach and see a woman with a patch of black fur lining to her costume, I guarantee you would notice and perhaps comment on the site. Though, if you saw a man walk down in Speedo's with a similar black patch on show, I swear no one would even look twice…firstly, because you can't tell the difference between "it" and his leg hair and secondly, it's not that big of a deal for guys…why? It’s the same with the make-up, the hair, the tanning…although some women actually enjoy these…and who wouldn't compared to the excruciating pain of waxing. For those who wouldn't know…it hurts, especially when you DIY it, which is what I choose as I don't feel comfortable with paying someone to remove my pubic hair, to me, it seems elitist and wrong…and just plain weird. So when I had the wax out this evening and was left with a bruised, with a burning sensation and small dots of blood covering the sore, red region I desperately went into the shower to remove the sticky remaining clumps of wax. After a few minutes the water suddenly ran cold because the male alias decided to have a shower down stairs after a "hard day", which stops the hot water coming up to the upstairs shower (dodgy plumbing) I got a little angry… Why do, and most women do, go through this for their man? For Supreme Sexiness Status? Cleanliness? Or because magazines say that everyone else is doing it? Personally, I believe a Brazilian awakens the subconscious and hopefully in-active pedophilia psyche…and the Initialising is a form of branding, reasserting patriarchal values, whilst trimmed and tidy is still a form of control…Should women go wild down under, or should men have their pubes waxed into love hearts or just off altogether too?
